Half an hour ago I discovered that my AOL Journal had been deleted. Along with everybody else's. I don't quite understand how you can just delete every body's blog, but whatever. I was posting rather infrequently there anyway. I started strong, and for a while I was posting almost every day, but eventually it became more and more of a burden to post. But today I really wanted to post. I wanted to check in with the few readers I had left (I used to have quite afew). I wanted to try to start things up again, but it was not to be. Instead I have started this blog.
On my old blog, which was entitled "I Have a Life, This is It", I tried to express myself while at the same time relating to my readers. I always felt a sense of duty to them. I knew they wanted to hear from me and when I didn't post for a while I felt like I was ignoring them. I would always apologize when I did return.
My fire scanner is going off. The call is in Copaigue- a few towns over- for a choking woman. My fire scanner is on alot. I used to buff calls as they refer to it, which means hearing the calls go out over the scanner and then going to the calls to watch. I enjoyed it, and even made a blog where I recorded what I saw (keeping patients' privacy as my top priority of course), but that was on AOL, so ofcourse it's gone now. I don't buff calls anymore because I'm turning 17 soon, and just a year after that I'm joining the fire department, and it's probably not a good idea to be showing up at their calls this close to the time I join, because they'll remember me and might not vote me in. They don't like buffs. Although, ironically, one of my best friends is a member of the FD and she and her family know I'm a buff and love me anyway. Her uncle actually responded to my house when I called an ambulance last April.
My 18th birthday is going to be a huge deal. I'm not really a big bday person but my 18th is going to be very special. I have alot planned- open a checking account, get a tattoo (possibly the day after), join the fire dept, go to the Maury Show (if there's a taping that day, if not, I'll go to the first one after that day), register to vote (as a Democrat ofcourse), and go to a club.
I don't like sharing drinks or forks/spoons etc with anyone unless I've made out with them. Unless it's alcohol, then I don't care.
I have 2 cats: Felicia and Hilary. And a turtle: Roundy. They're great.
And so my first post comes to a close.
